||The state of Kansas is the active project area.

||These are indicated in the map display with a cross-hatch pattern and are mapped when flow is significantly affected by regulations or diversions (i.e. dams). Regulated streams are excluded from the peak flow estimates. Mainstem of the Arkansas River iscompletely excluded for delineations, basin characteristics, and peak calculations because of the inability to map non-contributing area into the headwaters in the adjacent State of Colorado.

||NHDPlus version 2 production team used the 12-digit Hydrologic Unit (HUC 12) divides from the Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) as ridgeline enforcement input in a process called "walling" in the production of hydro-enforced DEMs. Dates of WBD snapshots used were as follows VPU 10L on October 7, 2011 and VPUs 11 on December 2, 2011 (from NHDPlus v2.10 metadata)
